• My husband and I visited the Atlantic house January 14th for a one night stay with another couple. We wanted to take a quick getaway to enjoy some great food at Blue Sky and quality time with our friends. We were so pleased with the spaciousness of the two bedroom suite. We were warmly greeted at the front desk upon our arrival by Bill and check-in was prompt and easy as our room was ready. The suite was beautiful and the 2 bedroom setup was great for two couples, having separate bathrooms for each bedroom. We had to flip a coin to see who would get the room with the fireplace and jacuzzi! There was a complimentary wine tasting going on in the afternoon and there is a bakery that opens in the morning. • What a beautiful hotel in a great location. Seconds from all the shops and the beach. The building is an old structure that was rehabed into a beautiful hotel inside and out. The rooms were spacious, well decorated and the bed comfortable. The on site resturant was great as well. I got the scallops and they were perfect. My wife got a chicken dish that she enjoied as well. The GM was always around someplace making sure things were perfect. He made the rounds at dinner and asked if we were enjoying our stay and if there was anything we needed. We took a ride to see the Portland Head Lighthouse again because this was the site of when we became engaged. The lighthouse and it's views are something special. • We arrived a little early, but we were not in a hurry because it was suppose to be a getaway from stress! Bill, greeted us at the front desk and our stay only got better from that moment. He was so helpful and pleasant our entire stay... Since our room wasn't ready, he asked if we would mind waiting another 40 minutes and we could have a larger room. This was our first surprise...our "room" was HUGE, BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN and very modern. I knew at this moment, it would be difficult staying only two nights. We travel a lot, and let me tell you, this hotel was SPOTLESS!! The staff was awesome, we made some great friends that we can't wait to see again, because we will return! We ate at the Blue Sky and since neither of us eat seafood, we ordered the only steak on the menu....delicious! The staff was so friendly and willing to please....we moved over to the bar,we were greeted by Don , and Neil the bartender was quick to get us seats at the bar since the place was packed! Had a blast listening to the music, both nights, and met some great people who were also staying at "The Atlantic". Little Anna, who not only worked in the bakery, but also helped out wherever she was needed including cleaning the rooms ....it seemed that she was always there ....she worked so hard, I'm just hoping she went home to sleep! You will not be disappointed staying here.
