Bay City Bike has been given an overall rating of 4 stars by Yelp.com users. See why customers keep going back for more:

  • I wanted to rent a road bike, not just a cheap hybrid, for my sister.  These guys took the time to find a bike that fit her just right, adjusted the seat, filled the tires, and then spent a few minutes teaching her how to ride a road bike. They also spent a while going over the different route options with us, and we ended up having a great ride on a route I had never tried before. This place has a better selection and slightly lower prices than the other Fisherman's Wharf area bike rental options and much friendlier staff. — Chris C., Yelp.com Reviewer
  • They are extremely professional and very good at giving you the right bike - adjust the seats, etc. without even requesting for it. They are very clear regarding charges, etc. and they give you great maps with directions (they also nicely explain the route to you) so you'll never be lost... -- well unless you want to that is!! We went over GG to Sausalito and then to Tiburon - The bikes were perfect - they suggested hybrids for us since they saw we weren't professional bikers and that we wanted to do a long 18 mile ride. The bikes worked well, well oiled , sturdy - couldn't ask for more. — Anand D., Yelp.com Reviewer
  • There was a guy standing out front selling rentals, and we made his life easy. "Would you guys be interested in renting a bike today?" "Yup!" said we. He looked surprised that he didn't have to heckle us more. The bikes were easy to ride. The tires were equipped with a self-sealing goo. This was helpful because I popped a small leak in my tire when we were a few miles down the road. Instead of having to change it, we were able to let the goo seal, pump it a little, and carry on. The shop gives a map of the city and will point out a route for you. That was helpful. We had a beautiful bike ride across the Golden Gate - what a great day trip! Prices were reasonable. There weren't any unnecessary holding fees, and we were able to return the bikes the next day instead of the same day. Very smooth experience in my opinion. — Laura W., Yelp.com Reviewer
  • Ah! Got one of my bucket list items check off. We came here to rent bikes to bike from Bay City Bike across the Golden Gate bridge, quickly locked our bikes up and walk through the stairs to Vista Point to check out the view, and biked back. The guy working at the store told us it was a 6 mile bike ride. He gave us pretty good directions, but nonetheless, we went on a little detour (got lost). I think our total trip was close to 8 miles! I had a lot of fun. Going across the bridge was really fun :). It was a little windy, but worth the trip. I would recommend wearing a helmet because during our entire trip there, every cyclist had a helmet on! Shame on me! hahah — Jen H., Yelp.com Reviewer
  • I have longed to bike over the golden gate bridge.  Without a bike my dream seemed so far away.  Bay City Bike helped me accomplish it. A friend and I took the trek just the other day from fisherman's wharf to Tiburon (back via ferry). 17 miles of fog, sun, views and fun.  Deeter was more then helpful getting us on the road. We were in and out with our bikes in less then five minutes.  Returning the bikes was a breeze. This was a great tourist activity to do. I highly recommend it. — Lizzy M., Yelp.com Reviewer
