I was in Calgary for business and found the Alma just the right place to which I could come home and relax. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms, though small, were well-equipped, and overall the cleaning staff did a good job (once they remembered that there was an occupant in my room!). I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced and convenient hotel in Calgary, especially if they have business at the university.

Needed a hotel for a wedding that was on the UofC campus, so this hotel was in a great location. There are also many nearby hotel/motels in Calgary's "motel village", but none that look half as nice and all for similar prices. Our room was a two bedroom suite, with a small kitchen and even smaller bathroom. This is not a 5 star hotel, but everything looked good and was very clean. I have many friends and family that live in Calgary, so don't usually need a hotel to stay in, but this is def a good option if you do.

We came to this hotel from the Childrens Hospital after a surgery on my 1 year old daughter. Wow, the service was amazing! I had a bedroom suite with a sitting area and it was perfect for myself and my daughter :) Nice and quiet, awesome hospital rates and the front desk staff was so helpful. Perhaps that is what made our stay the best! Thanks for all your suggestions of what to do with children and where to go! This will be our first choice if we ever have to return to the hospital!

I enjoyed my stay very much, the room was very well appointed and quiet. I loved the decor in both my room and the common areas of the hotel, and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The complementary continental breakfast exceeded my expectations and cemented a great first impression.
